CPL 2.0 Week 6 - Google Products

I like google translate because it is so immediate. I also really like google earth because it is so much fun! They have really put a lot into that program, but I'm still on the fence about the privacy issues...big brother is after you!

CPL 2.0 Week 5 - Facebook

Otherwise known as "Crackbook", facebook is popular because it gives up to date information about people as they go about their lives. Some people are crazy with it, updating every three hours... I think it's bizarre. I use it to find out about events I'm invited to, and to keep in touch with people who live far away. It is easier than emailing sometimes because you don't have to memorize any addresses and you have options as to how you would like to contact a person (a poke, a private message, a public note on their display page, etc..)

Personally I am hardly ever logging into my facebook page, which annoys my friends and family to no end. Yet still somehow I manage to live in the world!!??

CPL 2.0 Week Four - Wikipedia

The editing that I did on wikipedia was grammatical, not factual. It was easy to do...I wonder how many monkeys are sitting in cubicles checking what people write into these articles???? My friend once read some rather vicious racial slurs on wikipedia. I never send kids to the site when I am teaching, but find that they are often using it at home.
